Phi Kappa Psi is proud to volunteer with service work both on campus and in the greater College Park community. On campus, we have worked with groups such as the UMD chapter of Food Recovery Network, the UMD Office of Diversity and Inclusion, and the Office of Community Engagement. Through our Phi Psi Friends program we are able to help out residents living in the surrounding area with any tasks they may need. Past requests include landscaping, home maintenance, and anything else someone may need help with. This past semester the brothers put in over 600 hours of combined service.
In May 2016, the chapter received the 2016 Greek Award for Outstanding Community Service Programming at the University of Maryland. Between the fall and spring semesters, the chapter completed over 1500 service and philanthropic hours. We are excited about this acknowledgement, and we look forward to building on our service efforts and our Phi Psi Friends program in the future.
